Terrence H. Shaw, a native New Yorker, dedicated his life to the Lord in 1996, modeling his life after the biblical verse 2 Corinthians 5:17, which speaks of becoming a new creation in Christ.
Initially serving as a Youth Leader at Jesus Revival Center in Brooklyn, NY, under the guidance of Pastors Wayne and Gloria Reyes, Elder Shaw later moved to Tampa, FL, in 2001, becoming an active member of Mount Calvary Deliverance Church. By 2002, he was ordained as a minister and initiated various ministries like ATM (Ask The Ministers) Radio Broadcasting, and Sunday School.
In 2006, Minister Shaw was ordained as Elder, taking on addition responsibilities including technology, leading Sunday School, and coordinating the National Prayer for C-MOE (Calvary Men of Excellence) under the leadership of Pastor Cleveland Bates. In June 2012, Elder Terrence Shaw assumed the position of Senior Pastor at Mount Calvary Deliverance Church, aiming to bring hope to communities and strengthen families through God's message. He emphasizes the importance of families in spreading the Gospel.
Elder Shaw, married to Catherine Shaw, with seven children and fifteen grandchildren, remains grounded in humility, attributing all glory to God with the MCDC war cry: “ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD.”
Pastor Shaw's commitment extends beyond the walls of the church. Along with his wife Catherine Shaw, he actively engages with the community, participating in outreach programs that provide food, clothing, and spiritual guidance to those in need. His dedication to service is evident in the numerous initiatives he has spearheaded, including youth mentorship programs and support groups for struggling families.
Under his leadership, Mount Calvary Deliverance Church has seen remarkable growth, not only in its congregation but also in its impact on the community. The church has become a beacon of hope, offering various workshops and seminars aimed at personal development, financial literacy, and health awareness. Pastor Shaw's emphasis on holistic well-being ensures that both the spiritual and practical needs of the congregation are met.

Pastor Shaw's sermons are known for their heartfelt sincerity and deep biblical insights, often drawing from his own life experiences to inspire and uplift. His approachability and genuine concern for each member of his congregation have earned him a reputation as a compassionate and effective leader.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Shaw remains a lifelong learner, continuously seeking to deepen his understanding of theology and ministry. He attends conferences, participates in study groups, and collaborates with other church leaders to stay abreast of new developments and best practices in ministry.
Catherine Shaw, his steadfast partner, plays a vital role in the church's activities, particularly in women's ministry and family counseling. Together, they exemplify a model of a godly marriage and family, providing a living testimony of love, commitment, and faith.

Our Belief

We the Mt. Calvary Deliverance Church Believe in one God, and that He only is God (Exodus 6:3; Isaiah 45:5-6; John 17:3); that He is eternal (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14, 32:40; Psalm 90:21, 102:27; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 1:8, 4:24); infinite in wisdom (Job 11:7-10; Psalm 145:3); goodness (Psalm 36:6, 104:21, 145:9, 16; Matthew 5:45); mercy, love and grace (Psalm 107:1; John 3:16; Luke 1:45; Romans 9:16; Ephesians 1:6-7, 2:4-9; Titus 2:11); power (John 42:2; Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37); that He is maker of Heaven and Earth (Genesis 1; John 1:3); and that as God He is triune, being revealed as Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 26:19; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 5:7).

We believe the Father is the first person of the Godhead, his revelation comes in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ whom He makes known (Matthew 16:17). He is the Father of Jesus and the Father of humanity, our Father (Matthew 6:9). He is the One who loved the world so, He gave His only Son (John 3:16). He was unknown to us (John 14:6) and becomes known to us through Jesus Christ (John 14:7).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the revelation and manifestation of the Word made flesh, co-equal and co-existent, with the Father, and the Holy Ghost. We further believe that in the fullness of time He was manifested in the flesh and incarnated by the power of the Holy Ghost (Luke 1:34-35), in the womb of the Virgin Mary (John 1:1-4). In John 20:31, “these things are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God; and that believing, ye might have life through His name.”

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Triune Godhead , and that He is ever present and active in the church; convicting (John 14:16m 16:18) and regenerating those who believe in Jesus Christ; dwelling in, sanctifying and comforting believers (John 14:16-17, 17:17); and guiding them into all truths as in Christ Jesus (John 16:13).

Hear, O Israel, The Lord Our God is One God: The one God manifests himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The Father in creation, the Son in redemption, the Holy Ghost, in Resurrection. This is the one true God that we believe in.
